My License Status

credentials update

The Certified Professional Midwife is a credential that is earned by midwives that certifies entry-level midwifery skills and knowledge by a private organization called the North American Registry of Midwives. They certify CPM’s in all 50 states. The states in turn may use the N.A.R.M. Exam to grant a license to someone who has passed their exam. Each state is different, some license, and some do not. The CPM CERTIFICATE IS NOT A LICENSE.

My License as a Midwife

As of January 2022 I applied for my Vermont license to practice Midwifery. My practice follows the administrative rules set forth by the State of Vermont licensing board. The Vermont license is actually a higher credential than the CPM Credential. I wanted to provide the highest level of care to my families by having safe ‘best practice’. Here is a link to their website. https://sos.vermont.gov/media/fpqbqdbm/lmw_rules.pdf More information to follow as it becomes available.
